what happens with concussions in kids like we saw during the championship game with nathan horn and aaron rome. the hit he put on him. talk about a severe concussion in a young person. what affect does that have on area brain? >> a young person has a risk of significant injury. the symptoms can persist and impact their ability to not only return to the sport and play effectively. but also in their school work and community functions. this is a risk of a problem when you have that kind of a hit. >> you work with camps -- the washington capitals youth camp, you also work with students k- 12. are their parents aware of what the risks are? are you more involved now in making sure players don't get back on the field after they've had some sort of hit? >> well, i think hits like you talked about in the playoffs and the hit to somebody like sydney crosby has really brought to the forefront the fact that this is kind of the silent epidemic. and i think this law has done a great job to bring awareness both to parents, to coaches, and to the players in terms of the significance of continuing to pla
